You’ve found the perfect UV suit or UV swim shirt. The print is fun, the fabric feels great… but what size should you choose?
UV clothing should fit snugly to protect your child from the sun, while still being comfortable for all that splashing, climbing and running.

Why the right fit matters
UV clothing protects your child from harmful sun exposure thanks to special fabrics with a UPF 50+ rating. But that protection only works when the clothing fits properly.
Too big? UV rays can sneak in through loose openings.
Too small? It won’t feel comfy — and you’ll hear about it 😉

How to find the right size
- Measure your child: Use a tape measure and note down their height, chest and waist.
- Compare with our size chart: You can find this on each productpage.
- Check the fit per product: Some items (like swim shirts) are stretchier than others. Check the product page for details.
- In between sizes?: Choose the bigger size — but not too big. UV clothing should gently hug the body to protect properly.
Size tips by age
For younger children, a fitted UV suit is ideal. They move a lot and need coverage that stays in place while crawling, running and splashing.
For older kids, separate swim shirts and UV shorts offer more flexibility. Pay attention to torso and sleeve length, especially for tall, slim children.
What if your child is between sizes?
Kids grow quickly — we get it 😉. But when it comes to UV clothing, it’s best not to size up too much. Loose fits don’t protect as well.
